This bell works really well but I’ve had to put a little label on the button to tell people to ‘press hard’. Most people think it’s a touch sensitive bell push from the look of it!Plug in unit is very small but has a plethora of tunes - some a bit too much !

Receiver stopped working only after 3 months. This is the 2nd one purchased and like the last one the receiver stopped working but at least the first one lasted just over 12 months

This is a great doorbell. The press button and plug-in sounder are paired in the factory so there is no faffing about on arrival. Just unpack and plug in. It's also nice and small and is not as big as some other plug-in types, which obstruct the second socket on a double socket.The bell press was easy to install and the workings are weather-resistant, the only downside is that the label cover is not entirely waterproof meaning that over time the ink may run on a paper label due to small amounts of water getting in (which already happened on ours). This can be remedied by laminating the paper insert or using a more water-resistant form of card.

We previously had a single wireless doorbell close to the front door but found that we weren’t hearing it in our rear lounge.I purchased this twin pack to replace the single unit, one of the receivers directly replaced the single unit and the other was placed on the opposite side of the house at the rear. The one receiver located near the transmitter adjacent to the front door works perfectly.The other receiver located away from the transmitter was a little more problematic in setting up. Initially it would not work in the rear lounge so we moved it next door into the kitchen where it did work. This was located above a worktop in the kitchen but located close to the kettle so we moved it around 2m into a double socket away from the kettle location. This time it did not work at all. Surprisingly when we moved into the other connection on the double socket it did work and has done ever since.There are far too many chimes (48?) on these units. Most of them are rubbish and if you happen to catch the chime selection button by accident, it moves on to the next chime and you then have to scroll through all the chimes to get back to your selected chime. (Ding-Dong in our case!)

This is a really good quality wireless door-chime set. It works exactly as described and the ringer can either be mounted on a suitable surface using screws or via an adhesive pad, both of which are provided. You can add your door number or name if you wish, using a card to mount it behind the clear plastic panel at the front of the ringer unit. The whole thing is very easy to set up and it benefits from a choice of chime melody’s built-in and mine worked straight out of the box, once the chime units were plugged into a mains socket. The chime volume can be adjusted to suit - which makes this a versatile set and in my opinion, a really good buy - certainly at the price I paid anyway. Overall, I’m really pleased with my purchase

Only problem is that sometimes does not work with just one press. Distance from transmitter to receiver does not improve problem. Contacted elzo directly today, waiting on their reply.

The good points... looks good; has a good selection of chimes; easy to installNot so good points.... the receiver needs to be close to the push button!Mine doesn’t work when you stand more than 5 meters away from the receiver.. and it needs to be “line of sight”I wanted a doorbell for my salon in the back garden, so I know when a client has arrived. Doesn’t work unless you’re closer than 5 meters!So I have now replaced my old front doorbell with this (less than 2meters to the receiver) and bought a battery operated one for the salon !Little disappointing-

Great doorbell, loud enough for anyone to hear, and really like that it charges itself, some people have said you have to press the button really hard for it to work, not too much of a problem, considering the positives.
