Paracord PlanetBrand Contoured Side Release Black Buckle – Multiple Size and Quantity (5/8 Inch, 10 Pack)

These are really nice buckles. They are not like the traditional ones that snap on the outside where you can actually see the teeth lock on the outside. These have 2 notches on the tips of the 2 outside forks of the male end that snap inside of the female end and you can't see the lock. Not sure how else to put it but I don't want to spend a lot of timing narrowing this down to technicality. Basically, I think it's a nice design. Plus, you don't have to worry about lining it up straight for it to snap. Once the male end is in, just shove her in and it snaps. Also, unfastening the buckle is super easy, you just barely squeeze on it. I thought this might be a bad thing at first, but both sides have to be pinched, obviously, and I don't ever see that happening in any normal circumstance. The locking nubs might wear down eventually and this ease of unfastening may be a problem down the road because there's not much surface to surface on the lock as there is on a previously mentioned design but we shall see. I used mine for 1 1/8 inch wide bracelet and it flows nicely. I wish it had a little more bend in it but I am being picky on that front. I guess you can only do so much bend on these things. It is contoured a little bit however which is nice. I just had to make the bracelet a little longer so I could have comfortable enough wrist movement. Anyways, hope this helps.

Several dont work. They will not unclip.

its hard to trust plastic or metal these days, but for the bracelets I am making and have made, they will do just fine for small projects. make sure you read the sizing of the clips, no matter what size you are buying... some might be much smaller than you expect due to the picture they provide, or much larger. read the description carefully before buying. one other note is that sometimes it is cheaper to buy 100 than it is to buy 10 or close enough to make the purchase of buying more worth the effort.

These Paracord Planet Side Release Black Buckles are excellent quality. Easy to open and close. The contoured shape is great for bracelets. We purchased the 1/2" buckles and they are very very small. Excellent if you are making bracelets with/for kids. But you'll need larger buckles for adult paracord bracelets. Also note that the actual product is different from the seller's photos. Each buckle only has one slot on each of the male and female ends of the buckle. See other customer photos for a better idea of how the actual product you will receive will look like.And if you are making dog collars with these buckles, the 1/2" buckles would make nice collars for a smaller dog or if you want a thinner collar.

These buckles are great when they work. Unfortunately that's not always the case. Sometimes they get stuck and when you squeeze the sides in to relaase them, one or both sides is stuck in the "in" position making it unable to squeeze in to release. Luckily each time this has happened I was wearing a bracelet that I was able to slip off my wrist and then work at releasing the buckles. But when they do work, they're great. If you're using them for friendship bracelets you can fit 6 (3 larkshead knotted) strings that are 2mm each. If you're using 1.5mm string you can fit 8 strings. If you're using 3mm paracord you can fit 4 across, so 2 pieces of doubled over string.

Updated Review (10/11/17)After contacting Customer Service I received the correct product that was originally pictured. Their customer service was able to identify the problem and fix the issue. The buckles look and feel great. All buckles look very uniform which is a good sign on the manufacturing process.Original Review Below:The picture does not accurately depict the product. The picture shows the buckle has 1 opening on either side. The one that I received has 2 openings on the male side.

Good quality para-cord clips, excellent price!!

I made a mistake and ordered the wrong ones, but the quality was exceptional, and they were easy to work with to send back. I had to pay for shipping, but why not, it was my mistake! I will buy from the again in the future, once i use all the buckles that my friends purchased. (we use them for Operation Christmas Child items)

The buckles are very sturdy and I like the fact that they are contoured. They are great for fastening para cord bracelets.

Satisfied my expectations.
