Q: is this liquid or powder. Like what is the amount of eggs it would take in a recipe?

It's a powder that u mix with water. 2tbsp of water 1.5tsp powder replaces 1egg. I use it in baking and it works for most recipes. If the recipe calls for more than 3eggs it doesn't work as well. Not as binding as an egg... But this replacer has a milder flavor than other replacers and I like that.

Q: can i use this for a coating before breadcrumbs

Don't know why not. I use it to make French toast and it turned out great. It acts just like a stirred egg and the bread soaks it up.

Q: How long is the shelf life for a box and if kept in refridgerators does that extend the life?

1-2 years. I purchased 2 boxes within the last year (I went vegan August 3rd, 2017), and they don't go bad until December of 2019.

I have used this for years to replace eggs in many baking recipes, and it works very well. Give it a try! I usually mix it up in a separate bowl and add where the recipe requires.
