Clever idea. It both expands the versatility of Echo devices while looking sleek.

I was searching for a solution to my child stretching the echo to try and reach the shower and turning the music up full blast. This allows him to take it in the shower, close the door, and not bother anyone else with the music volume. Super easy to use and battery life seems to be ok. He forgot to plug it back up once and it made it through the night with lullabies but wasn’t ready for the morning shower. Now to get the other kid one…

En la primera prueba luego de recibirlo hice la prueba para ver cuándo duraba sin estar conectado a la energía, me duro en total 8 horas con 2 horas en medio de reposo dónde no escuché nada, en total fueron 6 horas de audio a la mitad de volumen en el dot 5.En batería cumple lo que promete.Mis observaciones es poco intuitivo para conectar no se sabe en cuál va conecta primero allí falta un símbolo sencillo que diga energía y la otra batería, en ese mismo apartado los indicadores LED están cambiados el led que indica la batería está donde se conecta el cargador y en LED de la carga está en dónde se conecta la batería.Una vez q recibes viene descargado xq no tiene función de detener la descarga. Al conectar se enciende el LED azul y cuando ya esté cargada la batería este se apaga.El otro LED nunca se apaga siempre está encendido así este conectado, una vez que se descarga el LED de la batería empieza a parpadear el echo se apaga y deja de funcionar.Al colocar el echo no queda firme es muy probable que lo termines despegando con algún movimiento erróneo o volteo.El cable de conectar en el echo dot 5 queda mal ya que el conector está en el centro, en el echo dot 4 si queda perfecto.

These look good and work fantastic. We listen too music outdoors on the deck almost all day on weekends. The battery life is excellent.One complaint, which limited it to 4 stars with me. All of a sudden, after 2 years of ownership, both of ours fail to charge now and it turns out the charging ports are just worn out. Poor quality in the charging port. For the price, the charging port needs to be more robust.

Was what what I expected

Love having this for my backyard. No more extension cords across the lawn!I keep it plugged in when in the house with the echo in the holder.One strange thing I noticed is when I touch the echo in a certain spot, it stops. If I tell alexa to resume or play, she continues with what you are playing. At first I thought it was because of the portable charging station but actually it's the echo.When in the house I'm not usually touching it. When outside sometimes I move it around and that's how I noticed.A little annoying but good to know I can just say resume and it's playing again. Must be some kind of pause feature?

I recently purchased 2 echo dots. I wanted one in my bedroom to use, and the other is in my kitchen. I wanted to be able to have the one in the kitchen be portable to take out on my deck to listen to. I charged it up with the echo dot and then took it outside. I love the portability of it. I can work out in my yard, and listen to my music. Easy to set up and use. Looks good as the Echo dot sits cradled in it beautifully. And the sound is awesome!!! Battery last about 5 hrs. Get this to enhance your Echo dot. You will be surprised, and won't regret it!!!

I have my echo mounted on a wall in my kitchen and the cord is plugged in behind my fridge. I use it for music, and streaming in the kitchen, setting timers and reminders, ect. It's typically connected via Bluetooth to my phone or laptop. I wanted the portable base to take my media around the house or out on the porch. I missed the part on the listing that mentions its only the base and jumper, no charging cord. I have to unplug my echo, moving it from the mounted base and use the cord to charge the movable base. I wanted something that I could charge up, then lift my echo out of its mount and put it on the battery base. Now I have to unplug it and keep the base plugged on top of my fridge to charge it. There is no warning for when the battery dies, it just suddenly dies without warning. If you are moving the base around you have to be very careful not to touch the echo at all and only touch the base otherwise it will pause. I'll be buying another echo cord so that I can keep mine plugged in where it's mounted and have a cord to charge the base elsewhere. I don't really know how long the battery lasts because I don't think I'm letting it fully charge. If I charge it with the echo on it, it doesn't feel like it's charging all the way and dies really fast so I have to leave my echo unplugged to charge the base but then there's no power off so it just drains the battery. Kinda does what I wanted.
